Wanna know a secret?
I got an awesome email today from Debbie Hill, design team coordinator from Junkitz. Can't share too much more because... well... I'm not sure what exactly is going on.

But- I am pretty sure I am going to try for their design team now. Wish me luck!?

My Garden Journal

{Click on photos for close-ups}

The Scrapbook Stand design team work featuring the May Kit. This month's kit was chock full of yummy Crate paper, Maya Road chipboard, brads, eyelets, and May Arts ribbon- what could be better? The kit also had a tag book (which I have yet to make) and this cool little calendar! So I got this idea to make a garden journal/calendar. Starting next January, I want to take monthly pictures of my progress with my flower garden to show off some of nature's beauty. So now I have the book, I just need the photos! Wish me luck in that!~ LOL

(almost) toot!
Well, shoot! I got an email today from Scrapbook Trends requesting a page that is already being published. Oh well... at least I know it must be a good one! LOL

Simply me

The Scrapbook Stand design team work using the May Kit and yummy, delicious Crate Papers.

OH! And I'm excited to announce Lisa, one of the co-owners of Crate Pape, will be our guest at the TSS chat tonight! Come join us- 8pm CST. Looking forward to seeing you there!

(And thank you Kim and Renee for this pic of me- I am really growing to love it!)

'For You' bouquet

Create My Keepsake design team work.

{Click on photo for close-up}

DCWV was our May sponsor and this is my final project with CMK. The Old World Papers are fantastic to work with- and they have the nicest texture! If you get a chance to work with them, jump on it!

This one was fun- I took a dollar spot find from Target, covered it in some yummy paper and added some paper flowers adorned with buttons. I used floral tape covered shish-ke-bob skewers to arrange them and as a last touch, added some moss to hide the insides. I can't believe it turned into this!

(And a special thank you to my dear friend, Kim- without her... all this would not be possible. ;) )

Paper Trends toot!
ohmygoodness! I am so excited! I got an email from Paper Trends asking for my "Family Birthdays" calendar/book for one of their upcoming publications! It's my first time being published with them- and I am so, so happy about it!

CherryArte gallery toot!
I saw a post today at one of my sites that CherryArte had launched its new website. Went over to check things out and peruse through the gallery and found out they accepted my 'almost...' layout into their gallery! Since I had never received an email, I had given up hope~ LOL
Just goes to show you: NEVER give up hope.

Scrapbooking & Cards Today toot!
I submitted some layouts last night and I woke up to an email from Scrapbooking & Cards Today asking for my layout, "anticipation." I am so excited! Seeing as how SCT is a Canadian publication, I've gone international! :D

BasicGrey gallery toot!
I submitted {love} M-style to BG and they accepted into their gallery!!! YAY!

ICS crop book

(The Scrapbook Stand design team work)

This is a library pocket book- completely made from scratch, using Crate Papers and embellies from the May Kit. This was so much fun to make!

Each pocket holds a 7 Gypsies 97% complete tag that I had each guest decorate and fill out at the crop.

The Great Binky Wars

{click on the photo for a close-up}

This one was also created for the scraplift challenge at TTT, and how could I not lift an idea from my dear friend (and partner in crime), Sue Wojtkowksi? I loved how she cut out the lemon-y looking pieces and add them as an accent to her page, so I sorta used that- with my own spin. :D

I kept this one rather simple- lots of cut out shapes and some notebook paper. I am just really digging that look lately. I stitched it down and hand journaled and used lots 'o BG alphas. Just love that basicGrey!

{love} Madison-style
{click on photo for close-up}

Oh goodness... what can I say about this one? Created for a scraplift challenge at TTT, I was inspired by Kim Archer and how she cut out hearts and flowers to frame her page and photo. So, I thought I might put my own twist on it. You know me. :D

I had so much fun with this and I am just *so* loving BasicGrey. I just can't get enough.

I caught this shot of Madison in April, after the fashion show. Mom and I took the girls to Deep River to run and play so I could get some pictures of them on such a gorgeous, but cold day.

I love the pink in her cheeks.

I love the rosy pout to her lips.

I love the curls in her hair and how she just glowed like an angel.

(I want to add those words to the photo- but am debating to do it digi-style or just write on the photo itself. What do you guys think?)

Be Jolly & Let it Snow cards

I was at Scrap That Moment the other night for Tuesday Night Girl's Club and one of the challenges was to finish up some leftover projects. I have been meaning forever to get some cards done for all the holiday card calls that are currently out there, and I had started these two almost a month ago. Better late than never, huh? ;)

I really do like how they turned out, though!

Omaha Beach
{click on the photo for a close-up}

The Scrapbook Stand design team work with the May kit. {Oh, I am just enjoying working with this kit so very much!}

Here's a rather quick page for me... but I just loved this photo and wanted to show it off a little.
Supplies:
patterned paper: Crate Paper Seaweed Collection
circle punches: Marvy Uchida
circle templates: Coluzzle
pen: Permaball

Simple Pleasures tag book

Scrappin' Trends design team work.

I saw this idea at 2ps on NSD and finally got to use it!

I thought it would be so fun to use the Fancy Pants designs tags and some embellies to make a little tag book that showcase some of my simple pleasures in life.

Delight card

Scrappin' Trends design team work.

Another little quick and easy project using yummy Fancy Pants designs papers and tags. Added some brads for interest.

{Special thanks to BrendaB for the awesome card sketch at ICS.}

Miss Independent

Scrappin' Trends design team work.

Another cute shot of Madison, just being herself! She is so strong willed and independent... love that so much about her. Maybe because she reminds me so much of me?

Fancy Pants Designs papers with some simple accents. I have such a hard time covering up these gorgeous papers!

Altered Coasters

Scrappin' Trends design team work

I really wish I had my digital camera- I know this shot could be SO much cooler. Good news on the camera front, though- the repair shop called yesterday and said that it could be fixed, but they will have to locate a part, so it could take another 2-4 weeks. *sigh*

Anyhow, these were a lot of fun to make and I just adore the beautiful patterns of Fancy Pants Designs papers. (Our May sponsor) Now, I just have to bring myself to actually put them out in the house to use! LOL

I made jewelry!

When I was at Pages in Time yesterday with Kim, I fell in love with the new Frippery line from K & Co. I think there are three different color variations of the kits that include earrings, brooches, bracelets and pins. The kits come with everything you need, except the tools.

There are tons of variations on what you can do, but for those of you who know me, simple classic is best. ;)

They went together so fast, I can't wait to get the other kits- especially the bracelet that will match these... Look at these beauties:

Happy Day card

Just a fun little tri-fold card using some more of the awesome new Junkitz papers... can you tell I just love these??

Seize the Moment

(Create My Keepsake Design Team work, featuring DCWV products, our May sponsor.)

These two cutie-patooties are my nieces, Sadie and Madison. Caught them running one day in a park that we love to visit. I really like the 'carefree' attitude in the photo and wanted to try and duplicate it in the layout.

10 things to do {before I die}

(Create My Keepsake Design Team work featuring DCWV products, our May sponsor.)

Oh, this was SO much fun to make! It is a fold out accordion album contained with a DCWV tin, and it basically lists some things I'd like to accomplish before my time on this earth is done.

{Click on the photo for close-ups.}

These are my goals:
1. I want to reach my goal weight. (The tag pulls out to reveal a recent photo.)
2. I want to finish my degree. (Written on a pull-out tag tucked into an envelope.)
3. I want to finish my novel. (Written on a pull-out tag tucked into an envelope.)
4. Visit all 50 states. (The tag pulls out to reveal the US map and the states I have visited are colored in.)
5. I want to see Paris again.
6. I want to own my dream home. (Written on a pull-out tag tucked into an envelope.)
7. I want to work at my dream job. (Written on a pull-out tag tucked into an envelope.)
8. Children. (This panel opens up to reveal *lots* more personal journaling on this topic. :( )
9. Enjoy life as much as possible. (Written on a pull-out tag.)
10. Make a differnce in someone's life. (This tag also pulls out and reveals some more personal journaling...)

I really enjoy making mini albums... I think that I have finally found my 'niche.'

almost...
Oh goodness- this was such a hard one for me to post! I hardly ever post pics of myself- just because, well, yaknow- I'm a girl! ;) We are never happy with how we look.

Journaling reads: 'For those of you who know me REALLY well- you know it took every ounce of courage within me to document this photo. At the same time- I am so proud of myself because this is the halfway point in my weight loss journey. March 2006.'

Supplies:
cardstock: Bazzill
patterned papers: cherryArte
chipboard letters: Heidi Swapp
paint: Delta texture magic
pen: Stampin' Up!
floss: DMC
other: notebook paper, machine stitching

anticipation

My niece, Madison, on her first day of pre-school. I wanted to try and capture all the craziness going on in her little head that day- she was so excited and scared and nervous all at once. I thought the papers kind of fit that confused, anticipating look she had on her face. {Journaling is hidden behind the photo and pulls out for her to read later in life. }

Supplies:
cardstock: Bazzill
patterned papers: Rusty Pickle, Karen Foster, Lil Davis, Scenic Route & 7 Gypsies
specialty paper: paper packaging
chipboard heart: Making Memories
chipboard brackets: Fancy Pants
chipboard question mark/alphabet: Heidi Swapp
other: staples
